A little about me
I emigrated to the United States from Kyiv, Ukraine, and have been living in New York City for most of my adult life. I was the Founder and Creative Director of Deka Design, a visual communications firm with clients ranging from world-class art museums to Fortune 100 companies. I earned a BA from The Cooper Union, an MFA from Yale University, and completed post-graduate studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. I currently work as an Experience Architect and strategist focused on human-centered design. I also teach typography and design courses at Parsons School of Design and previously served as Chair of Communication Design Department of Kanazawa International Design Institute (KIDI), Japan and taught information design at Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, China.
I create fine art through photographic techniques, both digital and film, as well as painting and printmaking.
